Tasty Asian Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 200g lamb fillet, thinly sliced
Marinade:
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 egg
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1½ teaspoons cornflour
pinch bicarb soda
1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 brown onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Sambal Oelek
- 1 teaspoon Hoi Sin sauce
- 1 teaspoon Kecap Manis
- pinch Chinese five spice
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Method
- Place sliced lamb and the marinade ingredients into a ziplock bag or bowl, mix well to coat all the meat and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
- Heat the oil in a frypan over medium-high heat, add onions and pan fry for 2 minutes
- Add the marinated lamb and marinade to the onions, then add Samba Oelek, Hoi Sin sauce, Kecap Manis, red wine vinegar and sesame oil. Stir-fry for 4-6 minutes or until lamb is cooked
- Serve with steamed greens and rice
