This is a refreshing non-cooked fish dish, an absolute delight to eat

Ingredients

  • 120g-150g Tuna steak, sashimi grade
  • 1 passionfruit
  • 1-2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • ½ red chilli, seeded and sliced
  • pinch sugar
  • ½ tablespoon chopped coriander
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Using a very sharp knife, cut the tuna steaks into very thin slices
  • Lay the slices side by side, (close together) on a serving plate. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour
  • Meanwhile, make the dressing
  • Cut the passionfruit in half and strain the pulp (using a sieve) over a bowl, discard the seeds
  • Add lime juice, oil, chilli, sugar, coriander and a little salt and pepper
  • Uncover the tuna and pour the dressing evenly over the slices, leave for up to 10 minutes letting the acid start to cook the fish
  • Serve and Enjoy!
