
These skewers are tasty and easy to prepare
Ingredients
- 120g-150g rump steak or steak of choice
- 1⁄2 onion
- 1⁄4 red capsicum
Marinade:
- 1 dessertspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- salt and pepper
Method
- Trim fat from steak and cut into cubes
- Cut capsicum into same size cubes
- Cut onion same size as above and seperate the layers
- In a ziplock bag place the Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, mustard, honey, oil and garlic,season with salt and pepper. Seal bag and mix well to combine
- Place meat into the marinade and reseal ziplock bag, massage the mixture well into the meatand refrigerate for up to 2 hours
- Meanwhile soak wooden skewers in water to prevent them burning while cooking
- Thread the capsicum, onion and meat onto skewers, repeat the pattern
- Heat BBQ plate or grill pan to medium and cook the beef, turning to brown and cook evenly.
- Serve with side salad of choice for example my Tasty Easy Potato Salad
