Moroccan Lamb Skewers

The richness of these earthy spices, flavour these lamb skewers beautifully

4-6 Minutes


  • 2-3 lamb steaks, sliced into ribbon like thin pieces
  • 2-3 wooden skewers, soaked in water


  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • pinch cinnamon


  • Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl & combine well, this mixture should be just a little wet
  • Place the marinade in a zip lock bag and add the sliced meat, massage the marinade well into the meat, and marinate for up to 2 hours or overnight
  • Thread the marinated meat evenly onto the wooden skewers
  • Pan fry or BBQ the lamb skewers over medium-high heat, pressing the meat down onto the hot surface, fry for 2-3 minutes each side, till cooked through

Serve with Vegetable Couscous

Note: The skewers won’t burn if soaked in water first.

The meat will cook quicker if cut into thin strips
