Ingredients
- 2-3 lamb steaks, sliced into ribbon like thin pieces
- 2-3 wooden skewers, soaked in water
Marinade
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- pinch salt and pepper
- pinch cinnamon
Method
- Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl & combine well, this mixture should be just a little wet
- Place the marinade in a zip lock bag and add the sliced meat, massage the marinade well into the meat, and marinate for up to 2 hours or overnight
- Thread the marinated meat evenly onto the wooden skewers
- Pan fry or BBQ the lamb skewers over medium-high heat, pressing the meat down onto the hot surface, fry for 2-3 minutes each side, till cooked through
Serve with Vegetable Couscous
Note: The skewers won’t burn if soaked in water first.
The meat will cook quicker if cut into thin strips
