Indulge yourself with this revisited breakfast treat

Ingredients
- 2 slices of day old bread ( I use sour dough)
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup of (½ & ½) ½ cream ½ milk
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup *extra for topping
- dash vanilla
- 1 tablespoon butter
- spray oil
- strawberries
- blueberries
- drizzle of cream
Method
- Spread the bread thinly with butter on both sides
- In a flat bowl mix together the egg, milk, cream, teaspoon maple syrup and vanilla
- Place fry pan on stovetop and heat over medium-high heat, spray with oil or lightly butter
- Dip the bread into the egg mixture (leave in long enough to soak in) turn over and soak the other side
- Then place the eggy bread into the medium-hot greased pan, cook till browned but not burnt, flip and cook other side
- Meanwhile, slice the strawberries and place both blueberries and strawberries on a microwave plate and heat in microwave for 1 minute
- Place the toast on a serving plate and top with strawberries, blueberries, drizzle with the cream and *extra maple syrup
