Chicken in Spiced Yoghurt

  • 50g natural yoghurt
  • ½ clove garlic, grated
  • pinch of five spice
  • pinch chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil


  • Place yoghurt, garlic, five spice, chilli powder and soy sauce in a zip lock bag and mix to combine
  • Place the chicken fillet into the bag and rub the mixture into the fillet to coat well. Allow to marinate in fridge for at least 2 hours
  • Preheat Oven 180º
  • Place oil in frypan over medium heat, add chicken and sear on all sides
  • Add chicken to small baking dish and place in oven for 6-8 minutes, until cooked through
  • Serve with my “Beans with Onion Garlic and Tomatoes” or vegetable / salad of choice
