Beans with Onion Garlic and Tomatoes

Crispy Beans coated in melted butter  with Onions, Garlic &Tomatoes

6-8 Minutes


  • 140g beans, top and tailed
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1½ tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 5 cherry tomatoes, halved

Salt and Pepper to taste


  • Cut beans into thirds
  • Steam the beans in a steamer over boiling water until just cooked and still crisp. Place the beans into ice water to stop them cooking, drain when cooled
  • Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat
  • Add the garlic and onions, fry till both soften
  • Add tomatoes and beans and heat through, toss to coat
  • Season to taste and serve


A great side dish to fish or meat
