This old fashion favourite has been revamped, and well worth a try
Ingredients
- 1 eye fillet steak (150-200g)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 green prawns, peeled and deveined tails intact
- 6 button mushrooms, sliced
- 200ml cream
- 100ml beef stock
Method
- Melt the butter in a preheated non-stick frypan over medium-high heat
- Sear the fillet steak on all sides, reduce heat to medium and cook steak to your liking
- Remove the steak and let rest
- Add the prawns and cook both sides 1-2 minutes until cooked through, time depends on the size
- Remove the prawns and set aside
- Add the mushrooms and stock to the pan juices, bring to a simmer, add the cream and simmer for 4-6 minutes until sauce thickens slightly
- Place the steak on a serving dish, pour the mushroom sauce over the steak, arrange the prawns over the steak and sauce

This is fantastic! Lots of flavour compared to the old Surf and Turf.
Want to try this very soon. It looks delicious and one of my favourite meals when out. Never think to do it for one.
