Pork Spare Ribs

These are so sticky, yummy, spicy and delicious

Ingredients

  • 1 strip of 6-8 pork ribs (not the fatty type)
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic grated
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon plum sauce
  • ½-1 teaspoon chilli powder (to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard
  • dash tabasco

Method

  • Mix oyster sauce and soy sauce and rib into the ribs, cut ribs between the bones
  • Sprinkle the plain flour over the ribs
  • Marinate for 2 hours or overnight

Preheat oven 170º

  • Heat oil in a small saucepan over low-medium heat, add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan and cook for 6-8 minutes, until sauce thickens
  • Brush the sauce over the ribs and place in oven proof dish, then bake in oven for 25-30 minutes
  • Serve with side salad or rice
