Chicken and Asparagus Gratin

Ways to use cooked chicken: A very tasty easy meal prepared in under 30 minutes

15-20 Minutes


  • 1 cup of shredded cooked chicken
  • ½ cup of cream of chicken soup     OR

Blend the following ingredients until smooth

½ teaspoon Vegeta

2 tablespoons cooked chicken, chopped

¼ cup chicken stock

¼ cup cream

2 tablespoon greek yoghurt

  • 1 green shallot, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon red capsicum, julienne
  • 4-6 asparagus spears (jarred or canned)
  • ⅓ cup grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese 
  • sprinkle of paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Preheat oven 180ºc
  • Line the base of a small casserole dish with the cooked chicken
  • Pour the soup or blended ingredients over the chicken
  • Sprinkle the shallots and capsicum over the top
  • Arrange the asparagus spears evenly on top
  • Season with salt and pepper 
  • Cover with the grated cheese and parmesan
  • Sprinkle with paprika
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden 
  • Note: Vegeta is a vegetable stock powder
