A very popular and tasty Thai Salad

Ingredients
- 120g-150g thinly sliced quality steak
Marinade
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- Black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Dressing:
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons fish sauce
- ½ Thai red chilli, sliced (*reserve the other ½)
- pinch sugar
Salad:
- ¼ cup julienned red onion
- 3 cherry tomatos halved
- ½ cup celery leaves, chopped
- 1½ tablespoons roasted peanuts
- ¼ Lebanese cucumber, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sliced fennel
- 1 radish, julienned
- *½ red Thai chilli, sliced *optional (the other ½)
- 1 green shallot, sliced
- Coriander leaves, for garnish
Method
Marinade:
- Gently pound the steak with a meat mallet
- In a large zip lock, combine the marinade ingredients and add the steak, massage the marinade into the steak and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Drain steak and grill 1-2 minutes each side (for medium rare), slice meat against grain into bite size pieces
Dressing:
- Combine all ingredients and stir well
Salad:
- Mix together the steak, salad ingredients, (except coriander) and the dressing in a bowl
- Place on a serving plate and Garnish with fresh coriander leaves
