Ingredients

Here are three quick snack ideas, each with a different filling and a sheet of puff pastry per scroll:

Scroll 1: Miso, caramelised onion, chives, and goat cheese.

Scroll 2: Grated tasty cheese, Vegemite, and avocado.

Scroll 3: Tomato paste, Italian herbs, chopped bacon, onion, capsicum, and grated tasty cheese.

Method

  • Lay the thawed pastry sheet on a flat surface.
  • For Scroll 1: Spread the miso thinly over the pastry, top with caramelised onions, chives, and goat cheese. Roll it up tightly, cutting into 6-8 even scrolls.
  • Line the air fryer basket with baking paper, place the scrolls on the paper, and bake for 15-20 minutes at 180ºc. You may need to turn them halfway through cooking for even browning.
  • For Scroll 2 (if freezing, omit the avocado): Spread the base with a thin layer of Vegemite, add thinly sliced avocado, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Roll it up tightly, cutting into 6-8 even scrolls.
  • Follow the same baking instructions as Scroll 1.
  • For Scroll 3: Spread the paste thinly over the pastry, sprinkle with Italian herbs, chopped bacon, onion, capsicum, and grated cheese. Roll it up tightly, cutting into 6-8 even scrolls.
  • Follow the same baking instructions as Scroll 1.
  • Note: Feel free to customise these scrolls by omitting or adding your favourite fillings. These are just a guide to show you how easy they are to make. They also freeze well. Enjoy!
